About

Cathy Homard joined Mount Mercy on January 1, 2022 to teach MSN and DNP courses for the graduate nursing program.

Before arriving at Mount Mercy, Homard has been diligently working as a Nurse educator for approximately eighteen years, bringing with her a plethora of experience and professional expertise with her. She has also worked in the pediatric and adult intensive care units in three states: Texas, Ohio, and Iowa. Additionally, Homard had the honor of being involved with the team who created the Pediatric Transport Program at Unity Point in Des Moines, which brings specialized care to children by ambulance or helicopter.

In her free time, Homard adores reading, taking long walks, and camping out in nature.
