Opportunities for Students

We provide opportunities for Catholic high school students to deepen their faith and expand their knowledge.

Mustang U remote courses offer juniors and seniors at participating Catholic high schools the opportunity to take online on-demand courses taught by Mount Mercy instructors.

Students receive Mount Mercy credit for their courses. A range of topics are available to students including courses in nursing, education, business, science, and religion.

Mustang U also offers dual enrollment courses. These classes are taught by Catholic high school teachers in partnership with Mount Mercy. Students receive high school credit and Mount Mercy credit.

Teaching a dual enrollment course means high school teachers go above and beyond their contractual requirements. To show appreciation for these highly motivated teachers, Mustang U offers a competitive pay matrix that increases teacher pay based on the total number of dual enrollment students taught.

Mustang U has a collaborative relationship with dual enrollment teachers. This includes:
