The Mount Mercy athletics department is excited to welcome 医学博士丹尼尔斯 to the campus community as the first head football coach in program history, Director of 体育运动 Paul Gavin ’88 announced today. 丹尼尔斯将于2025年1月6日上任。
“MD brings unmatched enthusiasm and passion for the sport of football and the experience to lead this program from the ground up,” added Gavin. “I look forward to working closely with him as we build a program that all Mustangs can be proud of.”

Prior to arriving at Bethel, Daniels served as the head coach at Iowa Wesleyan from January of 2020 through the spring of 2023, while previously serving as the school’s defensive coordinator for the 2019 season. 丹尼尔斯带领老虎队取得了10个赛季以来最多的胜利，在防守端创造了许多学校记录。 Daniels’ squad ranked in the top-15 in the NAIA in total passing yards, passing yards per game, pass completions, and passing first downs over the course of his tenure in Mount Pleasant.
