Driven by her love for bowling and her passion for caring for others, Tara Trcka ’17 made the decision to begin her educational journey on the Hill.

塔拉喜欢她第一次参观校园时那种温馨的感觉。 Getting to pursue her love of bowling and practice with the team at her family’s bowling alley were other motivating factors when it came to choosing 皇冠体育. 打保龄只是塔拉来到山上的原因之一。

Tara knew that 生物学 as her major was the right choice. She also pursued a minor in 心理学, which she thought would help her health care career.

During her time at Mount Mercy Tara met her fiancé, Seth Pennock ’16, ’18 MBA. 赛斯现在是Mount Mercy大学的商业助理教授，两人将于今年春天结婚。

“I have a lot of memories. Meeting my fiancé, being on the bowling team, traveling, and meeting people that have become lifelong friends.”

在Mount Mercy获得生物学学士学位后，塔拉继续前往克莱顿大学（Creighton University）攻读物理治疗博士学位。 塔拉现在是UnityPoint Health的一名理疗师。

“I really enjoy making connections with people. Being a physical therapist, I get to see people on a weekly or twice a week basis, so I get to know more about them.”

Tara is also the Assistant Coach for the Mount Mercy Women’s Bowling Team.

“As a physical therapist, I'm a movement specialist. So being able to also watch their form and make sure they're doing things correctly and sharing the wealth of exercises that they can do to keep themselves healthy is amazing.”
